I was selected to compose 7 string quartet arrangements of Zola Jesus' (Nika Danilova) music, alongside a (surprise) encore piece. This performance was presented by Melbourne Music Week & Melbourne Recital Centre and was performed in the exquisite Elisabeth Murdoch Hall @ Melbourne Recital Centre. It was a thrilling project to immerse myself & a thrilling creative adventure to collaborate with Nika - she is such a visionary! Alongside writing the arrangements, I collaborated with Contemporary Music Programmer Kerstin Schulenburg, lighting designer Harrison Cope & visual artist Simon Burgin to create a visual testimony to this unique live performance.
ADALITA is recording a new album and this session was a joy ! she is generous & gorgeous AND a fiercely talented woman.
